Synopsis

Brie has always felt with one in the darkness, she always knew she had a special talent to slip in and out of the shadows undetected which has helped her in the art of breaking and entering and stealing enough to pay back a loan she owes. When her sister, Jas, is sold to the Unseelie King in the land of Fae, Brie finds herself thrust into their world and doing the one thing she vowed to never do. Make a bargain with the Fae.

To get inside, Brie has to pose as a potential bride for the Seelie Prince, Ronan – who appears to be less of a stranger than she first thought.

She also eventually accepts help from a band of misfits led by the mysterious Finn, an Unseelie with his own secret agenda.

These Hollow Vows had been sat on my TBR for way too long. Its a beautiful tale full of suspense, romance, a love triangle I never knew I needed and heartbreak.

This book was amazing to read, I couldn’t put it down. Brie is an amazing character who cares dearly for her sister and will not let anything get in the way of saving her. Even her own heart. It’s a definite recommendation if you enjoyed A Court Of Thorns and Roses due to the similar themes and magical worlds.

This story made me smile, giggle but most of all, it absolutely broke my heart. I have honestly say this book will be a favorite of mine for many years down the road.

I can’t wait to read the next one!

Who could have predicted this? Being at the same wedding. In Ireland. There’s a reason one-night stands are one-night stands. You’re not supposed to see each other again, especially not when you’re the maid of honor, and he’s the groom’s brother…

Sarah Anderson has never been more excited about anything in her life. She’s going to her best friend’s wedding. And not just any wedding. An Irish wedding. Goodbye New York, hello rolling green hills and men with beautiful accents and twinkling eyes.

But Sarah should have known that not all guests are fairy-tale princes…

There’s the chinless Uncle Trevor, whose idea of small talk is to claim climate change is a conspiracy.

Then there’s Great Aunt Eileen, who doesn’t talk at all (she’s too busy replacing the hotel cutlery with her own set).

Worst of all, there’s Declan Murphy. Best man. Brother of the groom. And the man Sarah last saw naked.

Is there anything more mortifying than bumping into a one-night stand halfway across the world? Especially as Declan seems determined to embarrass Sarah at every turn. At least when the wedding’s over she’ll never have to see him again.

But, back in New York, Sarah finds the more she tries to forget Declan, the more she can’t shake the thought of that infuriatingly charming smile and the way he wears a tux…

Was he really just for one night only, or might Declan Murphy be The One?

Prepare to laugh until you cry with this perfect feel-good romantic comedy about taking a chance on love. Fans of Sophie Ranald, Sophie Kinsella and Marian Keyes won’t be able to put this down!

My Review

One Night Only is a fun, witty, fast-paced book following the journey of Sarah Anderson as she overcomes her fear of commitment and learns to trust again.

Sarah has one rule when it comes to dating and that is one-night stands only, no second dates. The book is set in both New York and Ireland so when Sarah travels to the latter for her best friends wedding, she is shocked to see her most recent one-night stand, Declan Murphy, is also the best man and brother of the groom.

I enjoyed everything about this book. The development of Sarah and Declan’s relationship, the characters, the growth, the romance and the humor. I found myself smiling throughout most of this book, even if I did want to give Sarah a wake-up slap on occasion. My favorite character was Declan as I found him to be really charming and funny, it was most of his scenes in the book that brought the smiles to my face. I definitely had a hard time putting this down and would 100% recommend it!
